Alienware X51 Power Supply Problem

I have unplugged in turn the optical drive video card and riser and finally the hard drive. How to reduce the power consumption of the alienware x51 and prevent shutdowns. I recently bought the base model alienware x51 with the core i3 and the gt 545. So why are you saying that the 330 watt will not worked.
